Homemaking 101

As a newly wed. I thought I would try my hand in a series of homemaking activities. The first one is cake decorating. Yes I know its not a widely used skill but I still wanted to try my luck at it. And alas it has failed horribly. I now have a lovely sugar headache and I am sure in a few hours I will hit a giant sugar rush. My cake is lopsided and has so many problems that only a  doctor would be able to point out. So note to self never trust a recipe for frosting that as a 1/2 cup of Crisco waiting to make you have diabetes. So here is my cake.
I wonder if you could ever tell if I tried to do anything with it. There was once dots covering it but it looked like little cow pattys so I opted to just smooth it out. I know bask in my fail of a cake but when I become a world class cake decorator I will remember you once laughed. Until next time.
